About Legionella Monitoring
Legionella thrives in warm building water systems — cooling towers, hot and cold water services, spas and HVAC humidifiers — and causes Legionnaires' disease, making its monitoring a recognised duty in facility water-safety management. CVR Labs detects and enumerates Legionella by culture from cooling-tower, hot/cold water and spa samples, giving facility and EHS managers the evidence their water-safety plan requires.
Sampling targets the points where Legionella proliferates and disperses, and counts are interpreted against the action levels used in water-safety guidance. Where a count is elevated, the result drives disinfection and re-sampling, closing the loop on a genuine public-health risk in large buildings.
